About Symban

Symban Power Systems Ltd started operations as a consultancy company in 1998 providing services in the areas of Parallel/Distributed computing and Multi-tier applications.

In 2001 entered the CFD market, following the completion of the first version of APUS-CFD solver with the following activities:

CFD consultancy
Contract work supporting CFD vendors

Founders and current employees of the company have worked for market leaders in CFD and prestigious Defence Agencies and have many years of experience in Mathematical modelling, Fluid Dynamics/Aerodynamics and CFD simulations.

In 2002, Symban started work on adapting its CFD solver to run on Grid-computers, with funds from the European Commission through the FLOWGRID project. The project was successfully completed at the end of 2004. Other achievements include a DTI 'SMART' award for innovation.
